Second graders at Villa Madonna Academy in Villa Hills listened to a speaker who volunteers at Welcome House, the Covington shelter for women and children seeking refuge from abusive relationships. After hearing her talk, the children decided to earn money to purchase items for Welcome House residents. During Advent, the second graders wrapped shoe boxes, filled them with supplies and goodies, and delivered them to Welcome House.
