First day of class for UC students

CINCINNATI (Adam Clements) -- Two of the Tri-State's largest Universities are back in session beginning Monday. Xavier University and University of Cincinnati both kick off classes this week of August 25th, 2014.

There are about 43,600 students in all at the University of Cincinnati and Student Body President Christina Beer says there's plenty available for each of them to get involved.

"There is a lot to do here," said Beer. "It's the perfect time to be a Bearcat. We have everything to get involved in from co-op, to academic internships, plenty of international experience, as well as getting involved on campus. We have over 500 school organizations here. There is an enormous amount to do. here."

This year's record enrollment includes more than 1,100 international undergraduate students and more than 2,000 graduate students.
