Colerain boy shot Sunday in stable condition

COLERAIN TWP, Ohio (WKRC) -- A seven-year-old boy remains in stable condition at Children's Hospital after being shot while playing outside his Colerain Township home on Sunday, August 10, 2014.

Police tell Jeff Hirsh the boy's 10-year-old brother found the gun behind the house. They boys began playing with the weapon and the 10-year-old shot his little brother.

Police are left with a number of questions about the shooting on Impala Drive, including who owns the gun and how it appeared near the house.

Despite several unknowns, it is believed the 10-year-old will not face criminal charges.

The boys' grandparents have had custody of the children since 2012.
