Six arrested in Middletown drug raid

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKRC) -- Six people now face charges in a two-home drug bust in Middletown. It's a story you saw first on Local 12 News.
21-year-old Jordan Oatneal and 24-year-old Sarah Landers both face drug abuse and child endangering charges. 18-year-old James Smith faces heroin and drug abuse instrument possession, drug paraphernalia and child endangering charges. Officers took an infant and a toddler from one home.

18-year-old Veasha Calhoun and 42-year-old Kim King face drug abuse charges. A 17-year-old also faces charges for possession of crack cocaine.

Middletown Police charged the six people from two homes during a drug raid Wednesday on Manchester Street. Officers also shot a pit bull. There were four of the dogs in one home. One apparently went right for an officer and the other three became agitated. The officer shot the first pit bull. Investigators used a fire extinguisher to scare the other three off. The dog shot by police was later euthanized.

Police also confiscated both crack cocaine and heroin during the raids.
