Butler County strike unresolved after 1st meeting

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) -- Striking social workers and Butler County leaders met  Tuesday, August 27th, 2014, but no deal was reached and the strike continues.

The union and county met for the first time in more than a week.

The social workers want more money and more staff.

During the nearly three-hour meeting, the union presented a proposal it believes the county can afford.

The county rejected it, so it's back to the picket lines for the children's services employees.
