Theft, vandalism suspect found passed out in Petersburg corn field

PETERSBURG, Ky. (WKRC) -- A theft and vandalism suspect was arrested after he was found passed out face down in a corn field in Petersburg.

Deputies were called after several campsites were broken into at Riverland Park on Belleview Road Tuesday. While the deputy was looking at the campsites, he asked the site owners to look around for their stolen possessions. They not only found their stolen stuff in a tree line, they found 35-year-old Luthor Robinson passed out in the corn field.

Deputies say Robinson had some of the stolen items on him. He was also using cable TV wire cut from one of the sites as a belt. Deputies recovered most of the stolen property including two flat screen TVs, a handgun, two guitars, a boom box and a battery jump box.

Two jet skis were sunk, boat controls were damaged, windows were broken and doors were also kicked in. Investigators expect to arrest two more people. Robinson is charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and alcohol intoxication.
