Med school students backs out of virginity auction

UNDATED (WKRC) -- The 27-year-old medical school student, Elizabeth Raine, decided to cancel the auction of her virginity after receiving a bids over $800,000.

Raine says that school is now her first priority.

The student made headlines and stirred a large debate after she decided to hold an online auction of her virginity to help pay tuition, saying she had been planning it for over a year.

Raine was inspired by the original story of a woman auctioning off her virginity and said it was "utterly practical". She has also said that she liked the idea because it was a form of social rebellion.
