NEW YORK CITY (Perry Schaible) -- Where is cincinnati and what does it have to offer? That's what business and social leaders want to get across on an unprecedented trip to New York City this week. The goal is to shine the light on the Queen City on a big stage.
One thousand Cincinnatians have invaded New York City. They'll spend the week speaking with business prospects, site selectors and the national media. They'll showcase what Cincinnati has to offer.
It's a cultural exchange with the business and entertainment industries. They're going where the decision makers are to lure them to cincinnati to show their art and open restaurants.
Johnna Reeder, president of REDI Cincinnati talks about Cincinnati's selling points. "We tell them that we have a ready workforce, we have a vibrant start-up community, we have amazing quality of life with the arts, with the sports teams - that we have it all. We are a smaller city with all the big city amenities and a great cost of living and an even greater cost of doing business."
Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley, is there too. He has some national media interviews scheduled to talk up the Queen City.
