Key Bank employees to volunteer at Freestore

CINCINNATI (Adam Clements) -- A large volunteer effort will kick off today as the Freestore Food bank teams up with Key Bank to help hungry people in the community.

7500 Key Bank employees across the country will take today off to volunteer in their community. Here, they'll volunteer at the Freestore Foodbank. They'll box food packages and distribute them to families in need.

Due to today's volunteer work many Key Bank branches will be closed. It's the sacrifice the company makes to contribute to communities.

The Freestore says these volunteer efforts make a difference. "Cincinnati is a giving community and we have about - more than 6,000 volunteers who donate their time and energy with us every single year. So really they help us do the work that we do in the community and give back to those in need."

This is the 24th year that Key Bank is taking a day to volunteer.
