Charges filed in Hamilton drag racing crash that killed teen

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) -- Hamilton Police reveal that drag racing caused the crash that killed 14-year-old Nicole Denney in Hamilton.

Police say a stolen van was also involved in that crash on Mosler Tuesday. It clipped the stolen car that Denney was riding in.

Denney's 16-year old boyfriend, Matthew Rhymer of Hamilton, was behind the wheel of the car, which slammed into a tree. He survived.
He is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, drag racing and driving without a license.

15-year-old Judas Lee Hatfield, the driver of the van, is also charged. Police say he left the scene. Hatfield faces similar charges plus one count of probation violation.
