Academy of Country Music Awards celebrated Sunday

LAS VEGAS (CBS) -- The Band Perry kicked off a party atmosphere for the Academy of Country Music Awards with their hit "Chainsaw", a song about love gone wrong as confetti rained down on the audience.

This year's show had something for everybody, from crossover artists to traditional country stars, plus few surprises like pop star Shakira going country to perform a duet with Blake Shelton.

And rock-n-roll met country in highly anticipated performance by Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks.

Justin Moore broke down in tears when he was named new artist of the year, and Florida-Georgia Line won best vocal duo.

Miranda Lambert won single of the year for "Broken Heart".

Between musical performances co-hosts Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan kept the night moving with humor, and even posed for a selfie as country music honored its biggest stars.
