Candy store break-in suspect faces judge

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) -- The suspect in a break-in at a historic downtown Cincinnati candy store faces a judge Tuesday.

Robert Rackley, 42, is locked up in the Hamilton County Justice Center on an $11,000 bond. Police say Rackley kicked in the door at Minges Candy Store on Court Street Monday.

A police dog found Rackley hiding in a nearby elevator shaft after he allegedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of lottery tickets.

Rackly faces breaking and entering, drug possession and obstruction charges.

Minges Candy Store has been downtown since 1905.
