67-year-old woman stabbed to death in Lockland

LOCKLAND, Ohio (Jeff Hirsh) -- The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Lockland police are investigating a homicide Tuesday afternoon.

67-year-old Wanda Glenn was found stabbed to death at a home on Arlington Avenue near Davis Street.  Police were called to the house in Lockland around 11:45a.m. after someone who went to the home discovered the body.  The Bureau of Criminal Investigation is also looking into the homicide.

The street is open and the yellow tape is gone but for much of the afternoon on Tuesday friends, family and neighbors gathered outside of the house on Arlington Avenue.  Police spent the afternoon gathering evidence.  The victim lived in the home apparently alone.  Entry into the house was made through the back door but police are not saying how the person or persons responsible in this murder entered.

Local 12 has learned the 67-year-old victim was stabbed and there was another stabbing less that 24 hours before nearby in Arlington Heights.  The neighbors in the area are concerned with the violence.

"A lot of information I cannot give you about the certain, uh, scene but it is a confirmed homicide.  We are not sure at this time if it's related to the earlier homicide," said Chief Jim Toles of the Lockland Police Department.

It is not known when exactly the woman was killed.

If you have any information on the homicide call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
