Parents accused of overdosing in front of kids at McDonalds

GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) -- Two parents from Dillsboro, Indiana are arraigned on charges that they overdosed in front of their kids.

On Sunday, police say 33-year-old Tamica Lynn Jeffers and 37-year-old Robert Palmer  were at the McDonald's on North Bend Road with their six and eight-year-old kids, when they overdosed on heroin.

Jeffers was taken to the hospital after she was reportedly found unconscious and not breathing.    Palmer was conscious but unresponsive.

Investigators say the two admitted to taking heroin. Both appeared in court on child endangering charges. A judge ordered Palmer held on $10,000 bond. Jeffers was given a $6,000 bond.
