Truck hits pole in White Oak and knocks out power

WHITE OAK, Ohio (WKRC) -- An accident knocked out power for a few thousand people in the White Oak area early Tuesday morning.

A box truck slammed into a utility pole near the intersection of Blue Rock Road and Cheviot Road at 3 a.m. Power lines on top of the truck trapped the driver. Crews got him out about 45 minutes later. The driver wasn't hurt.

At one point, thousands of people were without power in the area. By 7 a.m. only a few dozen remained without electricity.

Investigators are trying to determine what led up to the crash.
