Extensive Damage at Downtown YMCA After Pipe Burst
CINCINNATI (WKRC) - There was a lot of damage to the downtown YMCA due to a pipe burst.
Crews were called to the facility at Elm Street and Central Parkway about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night. That's where the Cincinnati Fire Department says a pipe burst on some of the vacant housing on an upper floor. The water did end up seeping down to the ground floor health club facilities. There were damaged ceiling tiles and drenched carpet. Many electronic items were also damaged.
Damage is estimated at about $50,000.
The Y was able to open Wednesday morning.
