Dog dies in Roselawn fire

ROSELAWN, Ohio (WKRC) -- Fire damages a home in Roselawn and leaves a family dog dead Wednesday morning.

Responding firefighters were initially told that someone may still be inside the home on Griffin Drive, but when they got on scene were told by the owner everyone had made it out.

Firefighters say heavy fire conditions and holes in the floor made it dangerous for them to fight the flames from inside. They went back outside to fight the flames.

No one was hurt.  The Red Cross is helping the two people who live in the home. The building had heavy fire and smoke damage that is estimated at $150,000. Firefighters are still looking into what caused the fire.
