Tri-State drivers paying more for gas this week

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP/WKRC) -- Tri-State drivers will be paying a little more for gas as the new work week begins.

Cincinnati drivers are paying an average of $3.41 today. That's up a dime from a week ago. It's about the same for Covington drivers. They're paying $3.40, up seven cents from last Monday.
The national average Monday was $3.31, down a penny from last week. Monday's national average is identical to the average price one year ago.

The Ohio average is 23 cents higher than a month ago, and 12 cents higher than this time last year.

The lowest average gas price in the state Monday was 3.33 in the Canton-Massillon and Youngstown areas. The highest was $3.41 in Cincinnati and Columbus.
