Goodwill says December 31 is its busiest day

CINCINNATI (Adam Clements) -- You can help a good cause, while getting a break on your taxes, but you have to act fast. Adam Clements has details from the Florence Goodwill store.

December 31st is always the biggest donation day at Goodwill stores in the Tri-State. Goodwill says last year, people were lined up to wait to drop off their donations.

Goodwill says people donate clothing, household items, electronics and even cars to Goodwill. Goodwill stores will be open until 6:30 Tuesday evening to take donations.

The organization says donations have been down during 2013, but they hope the end of the year drop-offs will help make up the shortfall. Goodwill says 2012 donations made it possible for more than 800 people to get jobs.
