Bengals hope to sell out game Sunday

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- The road to the Super Bowl starts at the jungle this Sunday. The Bengals take on the San Diego Chargers at 1 p.m.

Yesterday's ticket sales were strong, but the Bengals' ticket office says thousands of seats are still available. The office is staying open from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday in an effort to sell out the game and give the team an edge. Says Director of Sales Jeff Berding, "the team feeds off the crowd. The energy in the crowd, the noise that makes it hard for the opposing offense. That's a very critical element of an NFL football game and we want to give our team that advantage to advance toward the Super Bowl."

The deadline to sell out is Thursday.  If the game sells out, you can see it right here on Local 12.

To get people ready for the game, Local 12 will air the Fifth Third Bank playoff edition of Bengals Weekly. This special preview of the game will air Saturday at 7 pm. Brad Johansen, Dave Lapham and Coach Marvin Lewis will preview the big match-up.
