Florida Congressman Pleads Guilty After Cocaine Arrest
WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKRC) -- A Cincinnati native and Elder High School graduate says he wants to keep serving the country in Congress.
Trey Radel is also going to be serving a year of probation. His sentence after pleading guilty Wednesday to a misdemeanor charge of cocaine possession.
In court in Washington, he admitted he bought three and a half grams of cocaine from an undercover police officer.
The freshman Florida Republican said in court he wants to, "Come out of this stronger."
He didn't answer questions about whether he would stay in office.
