Oversize Load Finally Reaches Ohio River
An oversize load that was traveling through the tri-state all week finally reached the Ohio River Saturday.
A giant fiberglass tanker was produced by a company in Fairfield. It needed to be transported to a barge on the Ohio River for shipping ultimately to Saudi Arabia.
The trip was originally scheduled to take two days. It ended up taking all week. The large load could only travel about 5 miles per hour and required a police escort and wires to be moved along the way.
The final leg of the journey Saturday was along River Road into the city of Cincinnati where it was loaded onto a barge off Southside Avenue.
