Middletown Police Investigate Attacks on Women
Middletown Police are looking for suspects in two separate attacks on women in the city.
Officers say officers were called to Atrium Medical Center on Monday for a report of possible abduction and rape complaint. The victim told police she was attacked by two men on June 29th between Brewers Gin Mill on First Avenue and Busters Bar on Charles Street.
The woman said there were two attackers-but she did not want to pursue criminal charges. Police say they are following up on leads without the help of the victim.
Then on Tuesday at 8 a.m., police said a woman walking in the area of Illinois Avenue and Texas Avenue was attacked by two men. She received minor injuries.
The first suspect is described as a black man in his 209's wearing white basketball shorts, a plain red t shirt, and a white ball cap with a red bill. The second attacker is a black man in his 20's wearing blue basketball shorts, a plain black t-shirt and a baseball style hat. Both men were clean shaven.
Officers don't know if the two attacks are related. Anyone who has information can call Detective Tom McIntosh at 513-425-7785.
