Arlington Heights Asking Voters To Pass $8 Million Levy

Arlington Heights is asking voters to pass an $8 million operating levy. Without it, village leaders say Arlington Heights may have to merge with another city or village. They say the money would be used to pay for basic services like police, fire and road repair. The vilage would also use some of the money to demolish blighted buildings, attract new development and repave Arlington Avenue.
The operating levy would cost the owner of a home worth $75-thousand dollars about $180 dollars per year for the next five years.
