Police Release Name of Woman Hit By Cruiser

CINCINNATI (WKRC) -- Police release the name of the woman hit by a police cruiser, Saturday evening.

Investigators tell Local 12 News the officer was heading south on Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine just after 7:00 p.m. to assist another officer when he hit 36-year-old Natalie Cole. Cole was crossing Vine Street near Elder, not in a crosswalk, when the cruiser hit her. Cole was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she is listed in serious, but stable condition. The officer involved in the accident is on paid administrative leave.

The Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation. Any witnesses to this crash are asked to call police at 513-352-2514.


Two people are in the hospital, including a Cincinnati police officer, after the officer hit a woman with his cruiser just after seven tonight.

He was on his way to help another officer.

The cruiser hit the woman on Vine Street, near Elder, in Over-the-Rhine.

Both the officer and the woman are in stable condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The officer involved in the accident is on paid administrative leave.
