Concert Promoter Found Not Responsible for Michael Jackson's Death
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, California (WKRC) -- A verdict in the negligence lawsuit filed against Michael Jackson's concert promoter.
The jury found that AEG Live was not responsible for the death of the pop star. Jackson's mother and his three kids sued the promoter. The Jacksons said the promoter of the singer's 2009 comeback concerts negligently hired, and supervised, doctor Conrad Murray.
Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for Jackson's death.
Jackson's family was seeking 2 billion dollars in damages for the singer's death.
