Murder Suspect Appears in Court
WEST PRICE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) -- Bond is set today at 1.5 million dollars for a murder suspect who forced a swat standoff in West Price Hill.
Al Rashid is the man whose standoff with police prompted two high schools to go into lockdown. Rashid appeared in a Hamilton County courtroom early Wednesday.
Cincinnati Police say Rashid ran into an apartment in West Price Hill Tuesday near Seton and Elder High Schools.
Rashid eventually surrendered. Police believe Rashid shot and killed Michael Howe on October fourth in Bond Hill. The 37-year-old was found on the sidewalk on California Avenue near Oberlin.
Besides the murder charge, Rashid is also charged with burglary and abduction as a result of Wednesday's standoff.
