Police Chase Ends in Dog Bite

EAST PRICE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) -- A man hunt ends on the West Side when a police dog takes a bite out of the suspect.

Around 7:30 Monday morning, police noticed Julius Jackson asleep behind the wheel of a car on Glenway Avenue in East Price Hill.  When officers walked up to the car, he sped away, eventually crashing into a home at the corner of Glenway and McPherson.

At that point, Jackson fled on foot.  Officers believed he was armed, so a perimeter was secured and a canine unit called in.  The dog found the suspect hiding under a car on Lasalle Avenue and bit him in the leg.

Jackson was arrested and taken to the hospital with a minor wound from the bite.  A gun and drugs were also recovered from the scene.
