Local Firefighters Unite To Help Burned Brother
A firefighter from southern Kentucky is recovering at U.C. Medical Center, after he was critically injured running into a burning home.
Arlie Hill, who goes by the nickname 'Pooh', ran into the home in McCreary County while off duty last Friday. Hill and his brother-in-law thought a child was in the home.
A flashover trapped Hill inside and left him nearly covered in second and third degree burns.
His brother-in-law is also a firefighter and kicked in the door to pull Hill out, according to a facebook page set up to provide updates on Hill's condition.
The Prayers for Pooh facebook page has more than 67 hundred 'likes'.
Local 12's Adam Clements says what's happened to Hill has triggered a dramatic response from local firefighters.
