4 People Shot in Over-the-Rhine Monday Night

Cincinnati police believe one of four people wounded last night in a drive-by shooting in Over-the-Rhine may have been the intended target.  The four were hit by gunfire from a car in the 1800 block of Elm Street, right near Findlay Market, around 11 pm.

The victims were two women, a man, and a fourteen year old boy.  Their injuries were not serious.

District One police commander Gary Lee tells Local 12 News that the male victim was apparently not from the area nobody knew him and so police believe he was the person the shooter or shooters wanted to hit.

Local Twelve News also spoke by phone with one of the female victims.  According to her, word on the street was that the drive-by  was aimed at some, in her words, dope boys, who live in the community.

Witnesses say the vehicle in question was a gray Ford Explorer, with two people inside.  Those people and their car got away.
