Special Grand Jury Issues Indictment in Teen Rape Case
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) -- A special grand jury has issued the first indictment regarding the Steubenville teen rape case.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced the update on Monday saying the special grand jury is reviewing whether additional crimes were committed.
William Rhinaman, a 53 year old man of Mingo Junction, was indicted by the grand jury on counts of:
Tampering with Evidence (3rd degree felony)
Obstructing Justice (5th degree felony)
Obstructing Official Business (2nd degree misdemeanor)
Perjury (3rd degree felony)
Rhinaman was an employee of Steubenville City Schools in the area of information technology.
Attorney General Dewine issued the following statement:
"This is the first indictment in an ongoing grand jury investigation. Our goal remains to uncover the truth and out investigation continues."
