Health Alert: Local Teens Promote Suicide Education and Prevention

CINCINNATI (Liz Bonis) -- There is a special benefit concert for "Surviving the Teens" October 18th.

"Surviving the Teens" is a program in tri-state schools which promotes education help stop teen suicide.  Medical reporter Liz Bonis has details with some guests that stopped by our local 12 studios in Monday's health alert.

The concert is Friday night at The Underground.  It is designed to help raise awareness of teen suicide prevention.

Local 12 was joined by one of the artists who is playing at the concert.  His name is Dylan.

Local 12 was also joined by Kathryn and Emily from Mount Notre Dame.  They are part of the team that helped put this together.

Kathryn says, "'Surviving the Teens' is a program where people go into schools and help us learn coping skills, and tell us what we can do to try and stop suicide."

Emily says, "We are doing this because the problem is big and we want to draw attention to teen suicide and try and stop this problem."

The concert is Friday, October 18th at The Underground.
