Ottawa, ON (Sports Network) - Ottawa Senators forward Milan Michalek is scheduled to have knee surgery in New York.

That's according to the Citizen, which reported on Tuesday that the club is hoping the 28-year-old winger will be healthy enough to return for the postseason.

Michalek has missed 14 of the last 16 games with a right knee ailment. The nine-year veteran has totaled just two goals and 10 points in 15 appearances.

Ottawa plays in Uniondale against the Islanders later on Tuesday.
