Sabres agree to terms with Hecht

Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres signed center Jochen Hecht to a one-year contract on Sunday.

Hecht had four goals and four assists in 22 games for the Sabres in 2011-12.

Acquired from Edmonton in a trade prior to the 2002-03 season, Hecht has recorded 133 goals and 198 assists in 566 regular-season games with Buffalo. He ranks 20th in franchise history in games played, goals and points.

In 786 career games with the Blues, Oilers and Sabres, Hecht has 181 goals and 268 assists. He also has 14 goals and 18 assists in 59 playoff contests.
