Red Wings extend Lashoff's contract

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings have signed rookie defenseman Brian Lashoff to a three-year contract extension, the team announced Monday.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Lashoff has appeared in 15 of Detroit's 19 games this season and totaled one goal, two assists and 21 blocked shots. The 22-year-old undrafted free agent has been a member of the Red Wings' organization since 2008.
