Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings announced on Sunday that forward Jan Mursak could miss up to 2-to-3 weeks with a collarbone injury.

Mursak was hurt on the first shift of Saturday's 6-0 loss in St. Louis when he collided with Blues forward David Backes. The 25-year-old native of Slovenia had an X-ray and will be evaluated further once the team returns to Detroit. The Wings play in Columbus on Monday.

In addition, the status of defenseman Jonathan Ericsson is also in doubt after he suffered a freak right shoulder injury.

Ericsson was stricken after the puck slid under his skate blade as he went to turn, causing him to tumble into the end boards.

One other roster move for Detroit was the recall of goaltender Thomas McCollum from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.
