The Pittsburgh Penguins signed forward Ryan
Bayda to a one-year contract Monday.
Bayda, who was invited to the Pens training camp on a tryout deal, was given a
two-way contract.
The 28-year-old native of Saskatoon posted five goals and 12 points for
Carolina a season ago. Over parts of five seasons with the Hurricanes, Bayda
has compiled 16 goals and 40 points in 179 contests.
