Sunrise, FL (Sports Network) - The Florida Panthers placed right wing Kris Versteeg on injured reserve Monday.

Versteeg is suffering from a lower-body injury and sat out the club's season- opening 5-1 win against Carolina on Saturday.

To take his spot on the roster, the team recalled center Drew Shore from San Antonio of the American Hockey League. He has 10 goals and 20 assists in 41 games with the Rampage this season.
