Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - The Tampa Bay Lightning placed forward Vincent Lecavalier on injured reserve Thursday due to a lower-body injury.

Lecavalier sustained the injury in the third period of Tuesday's 3-2 win at Florida when the 32-year-old center was knocked down near the net and immediately skated to the bench hunched over.

The injury will not require surgery, but Lecavalier will miss a minimum of seven days and is listed as out indefinitely by the team.

Lecavalier, the first overall pick in the 1998 draft, has posted seven goals and 22 points through 26 games this season.

Tampa Bay recalled forward Tyler Johnson from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League to fill the roster spot vacated by Lecavalier.
