Leafs place Connolly on waivers

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs continued to reshape their roster ahead of the 2013 season opener.

The Sun reported on Thursday that the club placed forward Tim Connolly on waivers.

Connolly, who is set to cost the Leafs a $4.75 million cap hit this season, posted 13 goals and 36 points with a minus-14 rating in 70 games for Toronto last year.
