Arlington, VA (Sports Network) - Washington Capitals center Brooks Laich will make his season debut on Tuesday as his club faces the Penguins in Pittsburgh.

Laich has been hindered by a lower-body injury suffered while playing in Switzerland during the lockout.

The 29-year-old Saskatchewan native totaled 16 goals and 41 points in 82 games last season for the Caps. He has played in 557 NHL games, recording 116 goals and 278 points.

In addition, call-up defenseman Dmitry Orlov will make his season debut as Washington kicks off a four-game road swing.
