Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - The Carolina Hurricanes will be without Justin Faulk for next 2-to-4 weeks.

The team announced Wednesday that the second-year defenseman has been diagnosed with a second-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament.

Faulk, who was injured in Tuesday's loss to Florida, has three goals and seven assists in 28 games this season.
