Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - Carolina Hurricanes center Tim Brent is back on injured reserve, again because of a lower-body injury.

Brent was sidelined for two weeks in February because of the ailment, returned for the Feb. 28 game against Pittsburgh and hasn't played since. He has two assists in 14 games this season.

The Hurricanes recalled forward Jeremy Welsh from Charlotte of the American Hockey League. He played four games in two different stints with Carolina earlier this season.
