Habs sign D Bouillon to 1-year extension

Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens signed defenseman Francis Bouillon to a one-year contract extension on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old Bouillon has posted one goal, six assists and a plus-6 rating in 29 games this season for a Montreal club that surprisingly sits atop the Northeast Division.

Bouillon has spent 10 of his 13 NHL seasons with the Canadiens. The diminutive blueliner has also played for the Nashville Predators.

In 705 career games, Bouillon has registered 30 goals and 141 points.
