Ducks acquire Steckel from Leafs

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - The Anaheim Ducks acquired center David Steckel from the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday in exchange for winger Ryan Lasch and a seventh-round draft pick in 2014.

Steckel, in his second year with the Leafs, has managed just one point in 13 games this season.

The 31-year-old forward registered eight goals and 13 points in 76 games last season and has 73 points in 398 career games with Washington, New Jersey and Toronto since being drafted in the first round (30th overall) of the 2001 draft.

Lasch, 26, has recorded two goals and five points in 19 games with Norfolk of the American Hockey League this season.
