Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Blackhawks announced Friday that forward Patrick Sharp will miss 3-to-4 weeks with an upper-body injury.

TSN of Canada reported Sharp has a severe AC joint shoulder separation.

Sharp suffered the injury during the third period of Wednesday's 3-2 win over Colorado that extended Chicago's season-opening point streak to 24 games. He left the game after being hit against the boards by Avalanche defenseman Ryan O'Byrne.

The 31-year-old Sharp has five goals and 13 assists this season.
