Recap: Edmonton vs. Anaheim

Edmonton, AB (Sports Network) - Viktor Fasth posted a shutout and helped the Anaheim Ducks clinch the Pacific Division title for the first time in six years with a 3-0 victory over the Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place.

Fasth made 24 saves for his fourth shutout in his rookie campaign and was backed by goals from Ryan Getzlaf, Radek Dvorak and Sami Vatanen.

Anaheim, which is locked into the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, last won the division in 2006-07 when they captured their only Stanley Cup championship.

"We have to keep working hard. We still have things to work on," Fasth said.

Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 25-of-28 shots for the Oilers, who have dropped 11 straight at home against Anaheim, including a 3-1 setback on Sunday.

Edmonton's Shawn Horcoff was called for two penalties in the opening six minutes, and Getzlaf cashed in on the second man-advantage by following up his shot and banging home the rebound at the 6:13 mark.

Emerson Etem's backhand pass set up Dvorak for an easy tap-in with 8:12 left in the first period, and it stayed 2-0 through a scoreless second.

Vatanen scored early in the third when he fanned on his initial attempt from the point but got a lucky bounce back to him and beat Khabibulin over the shoulder with 3:55 gone in the period.

Fasth made nine saves in the first period, seven in the second and eight over the final 20 minutes to preserve the shutout.

"It's frustrating. It's such a fine line between winning and losing," Oilers forward Sam Gagner said.

Game Notes

Corey Perry recorded two assists ... Dvorak, who played two-plus seasons in Edmonton, has scored three of his four goals this year against the Oilers ... The Ducks improved to 16-0-2 when leading after two periods ... Anaheim has not lost in Edmonton since Nov. 30, 2007.
