Recap: Nashville vs. Edmonton

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Colin Wilson totaled a career-high four points on two goals and two assists, with Pekka Rinne adding 24 saves for his fourth shutout of the season, as Nashville downed Edmonton, 6-0, at Bridgestone Arena.

David Legwand, Patric Hornqvist, Rich Clune and Zach Boychuk added scores for the Predators, who put an end to a three-game losing streak.

"It started with the first shift," Predators head coach Barry Trotz said. "We set the tone."

Devan Dubnyk was pulled after allowing two goals on 13 shots in the first period for the Oilers, losers in five straight outings. Yann Danis finished up by surrendering four scores on 21 shots.

Nashville took a 1-0 lead just after the six-minute mark of the first, as Hornqvist managed to poke home a loose puck from inside the crease to cap the game's first power play.

Legwand boosted the edge to two goals on his fluke marker -- a floater from the neutral zone which skipped over Dubnyk's glove with 1:09 remaining -- then Clune opened the second period with a score only 51 seconds in for a 3-0 game.

Boychuk's first of the year, with 1:38 to play before intermission, sent Nashville up by four.

Wilson lit the lamp before five minutes elapsed in the third period for a 5-0 margin, then rippled the net once more on a power play with just over three minutes left to cap the rout.

"It's difficult to say anything positive about what happened," Oilers head coach Ralph Krueger said. "There's really no excuses at all."
