Leafs ink Holzer to 2-year extension

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs signed defenseman Korbinian Holzer to a two-year contract extension on Tuesday.

Holzer, 25, has totaled two goals and 19 penalty minutes in 16 games for the Leafs this season.

The native of Munich and an Olympian with Germany in 2010, was scoreless in two appearances for Toronto in 2010-11.
