Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Flyers placed backup goaltender Michael Leighton on injured reserve with an upper-body injury Sunday.

Leighton has appeared in one game for the Flyers this season, losing a 5-1 decision to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Jan. 27.

Philadelphia recalled goaltender Brian Boucher from Adirondack of the AHL to take Leighton's place on the roster.

Boucher has a 2-4-0 record with a 2.71 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage with the Phantoms this season.
